I Have Oily Skin and/or Acne, Which Products Should I Use?
Unfortunately, due to very strict FDA regulations, we are unable to recommend, diagnose, suggest, or prescribe any of our products for any specific purpose, including acne. We can gladly give you some information on oily skin and clogged pores if that is something that you’re concerned about! :)
We believe that our products are great for clogged pores because they are effective yet gentle. Most products out there for reducing clogged pores are full of chemicals that dry out the sebaceous glands and don’t treat underlying issues—they can cause cellular addiction and leave you with even more scarring.
Washing your face with a mild cleanser, like our Citrus Mint Cleanser, two times a day will be very beneficial. This product will help to unclog pores. It has great cleansing properties from the rosemary, witch hazel, and peppermint that help purify and balance skin.
Using our Rosemary Toning Mist can also help to balance natural skin oils. Rosemary cleans impurities for a brightened appearance.
We also highly recommend working with our serums. Serums are in an aloe base and should be used after cleansing and toning, before oils. Below are key highlights for each of our serums:
Anti-Aging Serum: Increases hydration, helps diminish the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, soothing, protects from environmental stressors.
Citrus Stem Cell Serum: Plumps up and evens the appearance of dull or sluggish skin, can help minimize the appearance of dark spots to promote healthy looking skin.
Probiotic Serum with Tremella: Great for people with senstive or troubled skin. Olive leaf extract and astaxanthin work to shield skin from harmful elements with superior antioxidant activity. Tremella, an ancient Chinese beautifying mushroom, is nature's alternative to hyaluronic acid, immersing skin with deep hydration.
Wild Fruit Serum: Brightens, gives skin a luminous glow, rich in Vitamin C, face rejuvenator.
Our Herbal Facial Oils are fantastic moisturizers, especially for those with clogged pores. Oils are more readily absorbed into the skin than lotions because our skin produces oils for moisturization naturally. It seems contrary to put a facial oil on a skin type that is prone to clogged pores, but by using an oil your skin will sense that moisture levels are more normalized which helps balance vital skin oils. Our best recommendation would be our Herbal Facial Oil for Oily Skin, but if you have sensitive, dry, or combination skin you may want to try either our Herbal Facial Oil for Sensitive Skin or our Herbal Facial Oil for Normal & Combination Skin.
Once or twice a week, or even as a spot treatment, we recommend using the Purifying Mud Mask which deeply purifies and promotes skin's natural mineral balance. Our Ayurvedic Facial Scrub is a great, gentle exfoliation option that can be used 1-3x a week. Just mix a bit of the powder in with your Citrus Mint Cleanser (be careful not to get water into your scrub though)!
