Why use oil for oily skin?Updated a year ago

Several factors may contribute to oily skin, including genes, environment, hormones, emotional wellness, and nutrition.

I understand how it seems contrary to put oil on oily skin. Fine oils can absorb into the skin easier, purifying and balancing the skin so your chances of having great looking skin - glowing in fact - are greatly increased!

By using an oil your skin will sense that moisture levels are more normalized which helps balance vital skin oils. When one has oily skin it is generally because of a lack of hydration (water) in the layers of the skin. Because we can’t produce water, the lack of hydration causes the skin's sebaceous glands to produce more sebum (oil) to balance out moisture levels. Excess sebum can cause oily skin as well as clogged pores.

A little bit of facial oil goes a long way, and gently massaging it into your skin will keep you from feeling greasy overtime. Here is a link to the products that we have that are geared towards those with oily skin.
