Why isn't Annmarie Gianni Skin Care EWG Verified?Updated a year ago
We've chosen not to pursue EWG verification due to the associated costs, which amount to $144,000 annually. While our products are listed in the EWG database as safe, any discrepancies you may notice in product details there stem from submissions made by third parties rather than by us directly. This can sometimes lead to misunderstandings, such as the example with our Anti-Aging Eye Cream where an ingredient discrepancy required extensive paperwork to resolve.
What certification do we have instead? We are proudly Made Safe certified. This certification aligns closely with our company values and covers a broader range of ingredients on its "unacceptable list," including GMOs. Made Safe certification verifies that products are made without known carcinogens, endocrine disruptors, reproductive toxins, neurotoxins, behavioral toxins, flame retardants, heavy metals, pesticides, insecticides, toxic solvents, VOCs, or GMOs. Each ingredient is rigorously examined by a chemist for bioaccumulation, persistence, and general and aquatic toxicity.
What does the Made Safe certification mean for consumers? The MADE SAFE™ seal provides independent third-party verification that screens products for toxic chemicals known to harm human health. It offers consumers confidence that products are made without harmful ingredients and helps brands and retailers adhere to higher safety standards. Founded with a mission to revolutionize product safety, MADE SAFE™ ensures products are safe for use according to manufacturer guidelines.
