Why Was I Charged Customs Fees In Order to Receive My Order?Updated 2 years ago

When shipping to certain countries, there is a charge or a brokerage fee to get through customs. Please know that when ordering in the future there will probably be a brokerage fee associated with picking up your order when you order through our online store. We understand how frustrating this can be.

Unfortunately, we do not have any say on whether or not packages are charged for brokerage or customs fees. The customs agency of your country makes these decisions.

Import duty and taxes are due when importing goods into any country, whether by a private individual or a commercial entity. These fees are calculated differently in every country, but they usually are calculated on the complete shipping value, which includes: the cost of the imported goods, the cost of freight, and the cost of insurance.  In addition to duty, imports are subject to taxes on certain goods, in addition to some charges like storage fee, air handling fee, airport fee, and declaration fee.

This situation is out of our hands because the package is now in another country and the way duty fees are handled are up to that particular country's government.

We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences. We always want you to have the ability to be an educated consumer, which is why we include this information in our Terms & Conditions

Please take a look at our list of vendors that carry our products to see if there may be one closer to you, that may help you avoid paying these additional customs fees and taxes.

You can find our interactive map of distributors here, just click on your country
